Tacoma Area Literacy Council Needs Tutors!! Consider volunteering to teach English to Adults in a one to one setting.

No teaching experience needed – if you can speak, read & write English you can teach it! TALC gives you the training and support you need to succeed.

Depending on your schedule and your learner’s schedule the time commitment varies – it might be just a few hours a week or can be more.

TALC has a long waiting list of adults wanting a tutor – there are some basic students (English is their first language) and there are many ELL students (English language learners who are learning English as a second or third language).

Or consider doing the training and being a helper at one of TALC’s three group classes (Parkland, Puyallup, Sumner).

Spring Tutor Training – March 20th & 21st – 9:30am – 3:30pm plus April 18th 9:30am to 12:30pm

Training will be at the Corinthian Masonic Lodge, 1005 W. Pioneer Ave, Puyallup.
