Fun fact: did you know May is API Heritage Month? Celebrate, share space and support fellow API folks by coming through on Thursday, May 17th, 5-8pm for the reception of Sea, Still! This exhibition showcases how various children of the API (Asian Pacific Islander) diaspora explore and reclaim ancestral memory, traditions and identity through their relationship and proximity to water.

Artists participating in exhibition include Roldy Aguero Ablao, Julz Bolinayen, Jewel Castro, Derek Orbiso Dizon, Raychelle Duazo, Viviann (V.) Le Nguyen, Trenton Quiocho and Saiyare Refaei.

For the reception we will be featuring music by DJ Press Play, performances by Roldy Aguero Ablao, Thy Nguyen, Dejan Perez, Rizelle Rosales, and Hilary Vo, and live art by Molica Chau.

Artist vendors include Charlice Bradford (Just Chokes), Derek Orbiso Dizon, Raychelle Duazo, Emahni Lavergne (Lavergne Shop), Trenton Quiocho and Saiyare Refaei.

Admission to the museum is FREE and there will be light refreshments!

There is a paid parking lot at TAM, along with street parking along Pacific Avenue. You can also park for free at the Tacoma Dome station and take the link, which drops you off in front of UWT.
