IN THE SPIRIT Northwest Native Festival
August 11, 2018, 12:00-7:00 PM.
The History Museum and Tacoma Art Museum present IN THE SPIRIT Northwest Native Festival. Experience this indoor/outdoor celebration of Native cultures! Dancing, drumming, singing, shopping at the arts market, and a Native designer runway fashion show will take place in and around both museums.
The festival is open to the public free of charge. Connect with a diverse group of Native artists and shop a wide range of exquisite work in all price ranges. Admission to both TAM and WSHM is free all day!
The festival is the final celebration of the IN THE SPIRIT Contemporary Native Arts Exhibition. We’ll present the People’s Choice Awards, announcing which works of art in the exhibition received the most visitor votes.
