Great Peninsula Conservancy invites you Saturday, December 16th from 10am-12pm, to join us out at Grovers Creek Preserve and learn about the “ins-and-outs” of GPC’s forest management strategies in North Kitsap. During this time we ask you to consider the question: How can stewards manage climate resilient forests? You will have the opportunity to try out some of these stewardship activities yourself with the Land Labs Education Team!

Many of GPC’s preserves in the North Kitsap region are former working timber lands that, in their retirement under GPC’s protection, now shelter wetlands, provide habitat for wildlife, and sequester atmospheric carbon as they mature. GPC’s staff work hard to consider the health of the whole forest when developing land management plans.
