Created in 2015, The South Sound Small Business Summit’s purpose is to support South Puget Sound’s small businesses through an educational event that inspires and connect the business community.

This event participates during the national celebration of the contribution of small businesses and entrepreneurs, National Small Business Week. The South Puget Sound region takes great pride in being the home to over 52,008 small and new startup businesses.

Besides having 4 great speakers, this year we will have an “ask the panel” to ask your small business questions to the speakers and some other local special guests.

South Sound/ SCORE is a team of nationally Certified Mentors who provide free professional counseling to aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners in Pierce, Thurston, Lewis, Mason, Grays Harbor and South King counties.

About the Event:

The first week of May every year is National Small Business Week. This week celebrates small business success and promotes business education across the nation. This event was created by the SBA (Small Business Administration) over 60 years ago by the President of the United States through presidential proclamation.

Three years ago, Paul Long of Timberland Bank created the South Sound Small Business Summit in order to help small businesses in South King, Pierce and Thurston County’s hear from local leaders about topics that affect small business with topics related to Human Resources, Marketing, Business Development, Financing and more.

Last year we had over 100 attendees and countless positive feedback.
