When did you start working with Greater Tacoma Community Foundation (GTCF)?

June 2019

Briefly describe what you do in your role with GTCF

As a Senior Accountant here at GTCF, my main focus is ensuring the bills are paid, and the accounts have all been reconciled so all other departments can focus on their projects within the community.

What is the most exciting part of your role with GTCF?

Getting to help the community.

What other jobs or positions have you held?

Prior to joining the team with GTCF, I was the Accounting Manager with Pental Surfaces, LLC. I started my accounting career while working for the Ram Restaurant home office in Lakewood, WA. While working there, I continued my education earning my associate’s degree in accounting and then eventually my bachelor’s degree as well.

Outside of GTCF, what enjoyable activity do you engage in? What brings you joy?

For some fun, we enjoy doing 5k Mud Runs! We go all over the Puget Sound Area just so we can play in the mud! I love calling Washington my home and love living in the Pierce County area.

What activity, place, or event do you recommend other people check out in Pierce County?

I love living in my little neck of the woods! The Foothills trail is practically right outside my front door! If you haven't had the chance to walk/bike/run on this trail I highly recommend it. It takes you along some amazing scenery out through Orting, South Prairie, and up through Buckley.

What is the most inspiring book that you have read and why?

"You are a Badass. How to stop doubting your greatness and start living an Awesome Life" by Jen Sincero. Super great read!!
