When did you start working with Greater Tacoma Community Foundation (GTCF)?

Briefly describe what you do in your role with GTCF

As a Board member, I look forward to learning more about community efforts across the region and exploring new ways to serve and engage the Tacoma Community House staff.

What is the most exciting part of your role with GTCF?

I love working with people who dream and can lead us into new ways of thinking to solve problems and address community challenges.

What other jobs or positions have you held?

Volunteering with migrant communities, leading programs and change, teaching students of all ages, and serving on other boards.

Outside of GTCF, what enjoyable activity do you engage in? What brings you joy?

My family, and travel. I have two kids and they bring me joy every day.

What activity, place, or event do you recommend other people check out in Pierce County?

Exploring new parks and beaches. I am awe of how beautiful our region is!

What is the most inspiring book that you have read and why?

The Alchemist. I have always found the world works in mysterious ways and it challenges me to question all limitations and assumptions. At the end of the day, I have found it fascinating how the unbelievable becomes possible when we are brave enough to voice our dreams, and aspirations.
