GTCF’s Board of Directors Welcomes Two New Members

Tacoma/Valley Radiation Oncology Centers’ COO and McGavic Graves attorney join Pierce County’s Philanthropic Hub

TACOMA, WA – At its annual meeting on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, Greater Tacoma Community Foundation’s Board of Directors approved recommendations to add new members Brett Willis and Brian Green.

• Brett Willis has served as the Chief Operating Officer for Tacoma/Valley Radiation Oncology Centers (TRVO) since 2008. Prior to his work with TRVO, Willis spent 28 years in commercial banking. He is also active in civic organizations and served in leadership positions in the Tacoma Sunrise Rotary Club, on the Board of Directors of Good Samaritan Hospital, and on the Board of Trustees Directors of the Tacoma Art Museum.

“I’ve heard a lot of people who have worked with GTCF talk about the far reaching effects of its work in Pierce County that often go unnoticed.  I’m excited to be a part of that work and help spread the word about GTCF to the community.”

 

 

 

 

• Brian Green is a shareholder at McGavick Graves practicing in the areas of business and real estate. His practice emphasis is commercial finance and creditors’ rights. Green also provides counsel in many aspects of real estate. Before joining the firm Brian worked as an extern to Judge Ronald Leighton in United States District Court, Western District of Washington.

“I’m thrilled for the opportunity to learn about the wide range of organizations engaged by the Foundation, to work with difference makers dedicated to making Pierce County a better place, and to share my own passion to support education and basic needs.”

 

 

 

 

GTCF’s board also ratified its slate of officers for 2018, confirming Dwight Williams as Board Chair, Mary Thomas as Board Vice Chair, Scott Limoli as Board Secretary and Gary A. Brooks, Jr. as Board Treasurer

GTCF’s Board of Directors governs the organization, establishes policy, sets priorities, and approves grant recommendations. All members are volunteers.
