Briefly describe what you do in your role with GTCF
As a Philanthropic Services Coordinator, I provide project support, research, reporting, and help organize events that educate and celebrate the community.
What other jobs or positions have you held?
Before coming to GTCF, I was a social worker connecting individuals and families throughout Pierce County with resources, assistance, and life changing services to ensure that access to basic needs is available for every individual, no matter their circumstances. These roles have developed a passion for advocacy around housing, transportation, financial assistance, behavioral health, livable wages for employment, and early childhood development and education.
Outside of GTCF, what enjoyable activity do you engage in? What brings you joy?
Outside of work, I am rarely found sitting still unless a book has me captivated. A daytrip with a curated playlist in hand to explore a new place is always fun. Most evenings and weekends are spent gathering with friends and having my home filled with people. I also enjoy attending hockey games, playing "Auntie" to all my friend's children, and losing myself in a painting or creating pottery.
What activity, place, or event do you recommend other people check out in Pierce County?
Every year, I have to "Do the Puyallup" and go to the fair and fill up on scones!
