Speakers will be:
• Outgoing Board Chair Tim Chen, who will share the AIDNW annual report for 2022.
• Guest speaker Melissa Nitsch, Senior Public Engagement Specialist of the Office of the Immigration Detention Ombudsman (OIDO), will tell us about the OIDO, which provides independent oversight of immigration detention facilities, conducts unannounced inspections and handles complaints about potential violations of immigration detention standards.
• Long-time AIDNW Volunteer Betty Devereux, who will be showing our updated PowerPoint presentation on the work of AIDNW and current volunteer opportunities.
