When did you start working with Greater Tacoma Community Foundation (GTCF)?

08/29/22

Briefly describe what you do in your role with GTCF

I will be working with GTCF's ambassador committee.

What is the most exciting part of your role with GTCF?

I am excited to connect GTCF with more of the rural communities in Pierce County and see where I can be useful.

What other jobs or positions have you held?

I currently run a small farm, I have also been a community advocate, organizer, and try my best to be a good family member and friend to those around me.

Outside of GTCF, what enjoyable activity do you engage in? What brings you joy?

My dogs, friends, eating food prepared or grown by my communities. Lots of walks.

What activity, place, or event do you recommend other people check out in Pierce County?

I love the Pack Forest--the mix of uses, the main pathways and all the small trails. Its a pretty accessible space with lots of diversity.

What is the most inspiring book that you have read and why?

I've been really enjoying books that mix place and biography/memoir together, especially as I continue to peel back the layers on what it means to live where I do. Really have enjoyed Yellow Bird by Sierra Crane Murdoch and lots of Timothy Egan for those reasons.
