The following is a list of items that The Greater Tacoma Community Foundation does not fund through the Community Grants program. However, there are additional funding opportunities and services available that may support some of the categories below. In addition, many community members that hold Donor Advised Funds with the Community Foundation may be interested in funding the categories below. Be sure to submit your nonprofit organization in our nonprofit directory so they to have information about your organization. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
Through our annual Community Grants program, The Community Foundation does not fund:
The Greater Tacoma Community Foundation does not make grants to the following:
* Fundraising Events or Fundraising Feasibility Projects
* Individuals
* Scholarships
* Religious activities or programs that convert or attempt to convert a person to a particular faith perspective
* Production of books, videos, films or other publications
* Events or programs that occur prior to the Board of Directors decision dates (this restriction does not apply to the Organizational Capacity grants)
* Annual campaign appeals
* Political or lobbying activities
* Endowments
* Debt reduction
* Agencies known to be in default on a financial obligation |
